I am delighted to join all of you for the 12th foundation day of Odisha State Commission for Child Rights. I am glad that the commission is celebrating it with the inmates of childcare institutions. I congratulate all of you on this happy occasion.

Children are the future of our society. They represent our collective hopes and aspirations. Smiling children paint our society in multitude of colours and depict its vitality. All our endeavour should be directed at one goal- bring smiles on the face of every child.

My government has been making sincere efforts for the wellbeing of children. We have put in place various programmes under the Women & Child Developments Department. We are striving to create an atmosphere where every child grows up to his or her full potential.

I am glad  to sanction an amount of rupees  3cr 82 lakh for construction  of Utkal Balashram  building cuttack 

The OSPCR is working sincerely to enforce laws aimed at protecting the rights of children. It has been making consistent efforts to create awareness in society.

I hope it would continue to strive for a better future for our children.
